A Historic Warehouse as a Creative Engine
In the heart of the revitalised Montevideo quarters, the iconic Montevideo warehouse has been
reinterpreted as the new Tomorrowland Headquarters. The transformation honours the rugged
beauty and industrial presence of the original structure while introducing a carefully layered interior
that brings warmth, atmosphere and tactility. Through a refined interplay of light, shadow and honest
materials, the vast warehouse is reshaped into a fluid, expressive environment that mirrors
Tomorrowland’s commitment to imagination, collaboration and craftsmanship.
As part of the broader Montevideo creative incubator, the headquarters supports a vibrant
community of up to 570 people. The workspace transitions naturally between collaborative areas,
quieter zones for focus, intimate meeting spots and a central bar that encourages spontaneous
encounters. A rooftop terrace extends the experience outward, connecting the building to its evolving
waterfront surroundings and providing an inspiring setting for informal work and connection.
Materiality, Atmosphere and the Spirit of Tomorrowland
The design language is deeply rooted in authenticity. Moody tones, textured materials and rich wood
finishes soften the warehouse’s raw character, creating a sense of mystery and quiet opulence. The
palette allows the building’s industrial heritage to breathe while adding a crafted intimacy that feels
unmistakably Tomorrowland. Rather than replicating the brand’s visual universe, the interior distils its
essence: a layered, immersive atmosphere where creativity is nurtured through emotion, tactility and
spatial storytelling.
The result is a workspace that bridges past and future—a place shaped by heritage yet oriented
toward innovation. It is not simply an office, but a living environment where people gather, create and
imagine, grounded in the timeless presence of Antwerp’s maritime history.
